Description:

Chess Pieces are made of high quality cast-iron with pieces that resemble ancient Egyptian characters such as pharaohs, queens, camels, workers. Chess board made of wood which is coated with mother of pearl and rose veneer, and the squares are White and either Black, Green or Red. There is a storage chamber for the pieces. Chess figures are Gold & Silver colored metal. All of the patterns are hand crafted.

The chess box is customizable so you can add a message to the inside of the lid.  Perfect for gifts.  To customize, select the option to Add Personalized Message, then add the text and fonts you want for the different sections.  See the Font Chart image for examples of the different fonts.

Refund Policy

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.

We will cover the cost of the return shipping only when we send the same item as a replacement for a defective product.

To start a return, you can contact us at support@fancychess.com. If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

If the item was received damaged, please send pictures of the damage, including pictures of the package if it appears dropped.

Please note, shipping costs and restocking costs are subtracted from the final refund amount.

Import Duties

An import duty is a tax collected on imports by a country's customs authorities.  Fancy Chess has no control over these fees can cannot estimate or include them in the price during checkout. The import duties are solely the responsibility of the customer.

To see if you are affected by import duties, see below:

U.S. customers:

Most products are shipped from the U.S., so there is no import for those items. For the small number of items that ship from outside the U.S. (ex. Turkey) they would usually only be subject to import duties if the price is over $800 USD.

Canadian Customers:

Since all products are shipped from outside Canada, all products shipped to Canada may be subject to import duties and broker fees. For most products the fees + duties = $10 CAD + GST on the value of the product.
